STEP 1:

WeChat - Download WeChat and set up your personal profile.

STEP 2:

Prestige banking customers can call on 0860 001 321 and Private banking customers can call 0860 123 101 or their Private Banker to register. The Virtual Banking team are ready to assist you. You will be taken through the verification process, please have your WeChat ID ready.

OR

Send an e-mail to Prestige@standardbank.co.za with your WeChat ID if you are a Prestige banking customer, the Virtual Bankers will then send you a verification e-mail to confirm your identity. If you are a Private banking customer, please contact your Private Banker and provide them with your WeChat ID to be registered.

STEP 3:

Once your identification has been successfully verified, the Virtual Banking team will send you an SMS containing a one-time password (OTP). Your OTP is valid for three days.

Log in to WeChat:

  • In contacts select Official Accounts.
  • Add an account.
  • Enter Standard Bank and search.
  • Select Standard Bank Prestige Banking account or Standard Bank Private Banking account and follow.
  • Enter the one-time password (OTP) sent to you via SMS.
  • Accept the Terms and Conditions of use.
  • Congratulations, you’re signed up for Always On.
